AKO Armaturen & Separations GmbH is a German company founded in 1984 by Antoine Kopp. The English company, AKO UK Ltd, was established in 1998 to provide more efficient distribution of AKO products in Great Britain and Ireland. Both the companies are certified to ISO 9001:2008 standards. AKO's product range includes knife gate valves, special fittings and various accessories in addition to the original Pinch Valves. AKO's valves and fittings are specially designed for isolating and regulating abrasive, fibrous and corrosive media.

AKO Pinch Valves:

AKO Pinch Valve sleeves prove their worth, particularly because of their long service life as it is light weight and compact in construction. Pinch Valve is being used more and more as an isolating valve or regulating valve for emulsions, sludges, dusts, gaseous materials, compressed air, powder, granulates, pellets etc. AKO Pinch Valve are minimum frictional resistance and non-clogging.

Manual and control Pinch Valve:

Manual and control Pinch Valve allow free flow of the product, minimum frictional resistance and low maintenance and operating costs. Manual and control Pinch Valve also helps in the reduction of the parts in contact with the medium, the sleeve being the only component in contact with the product flow.

In addition, Manual and control Pinch Valve creates deformation of the sleeve during the closing process causes any incrustations inside the sleeve to break away. This means that the manual and control Pinch Valve is a practically blockage-free valve solution. Furthermore, even larger solid particles are shut off by the sleeve, which is particularly resistant to abrasion and corrosion, hence shut off without leaks. 

Air operated Pinch Valve:

Air operated Pinch Valve allows Free flow of product, minimum frictional resistance, 100% leak free, no blockages and low net weight. Air operated Pinch Valve is a flattened and elliptical casing design of all flanged types ensures minimum compressed air consumption. This results in energy savings and ensures a specified, lipped fold pattern to the sleeve of the air operated Pinch Valve. This specific, lipped fold pattern in the Air operated Pinch Valves ensures the complete sealing of the product flow. Even large solids are enclosed by the sleeve in the air operated Pinch Valves and are thus tightly sealed.

Knife Gate Valve:

The Knife Gate Valves are either uni- or bi directional wafer valves for general industrial application. The nominal widths available range from DN050 to DN1200 with flange connections complying with EN 1092-2 PN10 or alternatively, ANSI B16.5. Knife Gate Valve is predominantly used in the paper and pulp, chemical, and mining industries, in power station technology and the food industry. Knife Gate Valves are increasingly being used in biogas plants, sewage treatment plants, and in the sugar, steel and animal feed sectors.
